Friday, June 11, 2010

Sorry! I am alive...

I know it's been a while since my last post, and I just wanted to apologize for disappearing! Not only is the summer incredibly busy for us (my husband is a minister of students) but we've been working on a pretty exciting "project" that you can read about here:

http://www.ourheartforadoption.blogspot.com/

As a result, I am selling 100% customizable cake keepers to help fund our adoption. They are $25 each, and you can make it your own! They make WONDERFUL gifts, everyone loves them!! I have a few examples of some I have made, but the sky is the limit. Let me know what you would like, and I will make it for you! I can also make pie keepers or snack keepers- they're all great for tailgating, parties, or special events! Here's some ideas:

Just let me know what you were thinking and we'll make it happen! Thanks for your support!

CVS- In honor of Earth Day...

Meet the CVS Green Bag tag (and score yours for FREE this week!)

For those of you who may not know, the CVS Green Bag tag is a great tool to earn some free money. This week, in honor of earth week, it is free after ECBs, so now is a great time to pick one up. Each day that you purchase items at CVS without using a plastic bag and scan this tag, it registers on your card. Every 4th time that it is scanned, $1 will print at the bottom of your receipt to use on your next purchase. Everyone wins! If you only visit once per week, this adds up to $13 completely FREE to spend on whatever you would like at CVS. I don't know about you, but I can make that $13 stretch a LOOONNNG ways with all the great deals they offer!

If you don't already own one, this week would be a great time to get one for free to try it out. What do you have to lose?

I'm back!

I know it's been a while since my last post- thank you for your patience and concern in my absence! Let me share with you what's been going on in my life... :)

God richly blessed us with the opportunity to allow our church to share the Gospel in a PUBLIC school each day last week in an after school program. It was an amazing week of seeing God at work! We were able to share the great news of Jesus in the lives of 80+ kids that may have otherwise never heard, and we are still hearing stories of what God did! So many seeds were planted- we serve an awesome God and I was so thankful to be a part of such an amazing opportunity.

It did, however, consume my time and energy last week, and left me with no time for deal hunting or blogging. All my time and attention was spent preparing and working. This kind of opportunity doesn't come around every day! While coupons are awesome, sharing the love of Christ with others is even better, and I thank you so much for your understanding of this brief halt of the blog. I've been able to catch back up with life now, and all things have resumed as normal! Stay tuned today for a few more posts! Thanks for faithfully being a part of my coupon journey!

Upcoming Classes!

There are 2 great upcoming events that you will want to consider attending! March 15th at 7 PM, I will be hosting a Coupon Swap and Meal Planning Workshop at my home. Please bring friends to this (as well as coupons you can't use and easy "go-to" frugal recipes), as it will be a great time of fellowship and putting into practice some of the skills we have learned, as well as a great time to put those coupons you can't use to good use, and find some coupons that you need that someone else didn't want! The cost is only $5 if you register in advance! You can also RSVP on the facebook page HERE. March 25th at 7 PM, I will be hosting a "Beyond the Basics" Advanced class at my home. We will discuss ways of getting multiple coupons, building a stockpile, and beginner CVS and Walgreens information. This class will build on the information learned in the beginner class, so it is recommended to attend this class first, but not required. The cost of this class is $10 if you register in advance. You can also register on the facebook page HERE. To register for either of these events, simply email me with your information, and how many will be attending so I can plan accordingly. I hope to see you all here!
